WEBINAR: Getting the Most Out of Tree Injections
About this event
FEATURED WEBINAR:
Getting the Most Out of Tree Injections
The use of tree and trunk injections by tree service companies has increased rapidly in recent years. A variety of compounds including nutrients, insecticides, and fungicides can be effectively applied via the tree’s vascular system. Achieving rapid uptake and distribution of injected chemicals within trees, however, can sometimes be difficult. Dr. Bert Cregg (Michigan State University, Departments of Horticulture and Forestry) will discuss how soil, tree, and weather interact to control sap flow and will provide tips to ensure optimal uptake during injection applications.
MDARD Credits and ISA CEU's are available. See below for details.
Speaker: Bert Cregg, Ph.D.
Dr. Bert Cregg is a Professor of Horticulture and Forestry at Michigan State University. He holds a doctorate in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia. Dr. Cregg’s lab conducts research on the physiology and management of trees in landscape, nursery and Christmas tree systems. Prior to joining the faculty at MSU he was a research plant physiologist for the US Forest Service and International Paper.
