Tree ID
What Tree is that? How do I go about the ID process? Plant classification is discussed, including how scientific names are used. We will talk about what scientific names are, and how they are used and written in classifying trees. Tree growth habit, texture, and coloration will be discussed in relation to tree ID. Discussion of leaf types and characteristics will be discussed in relation to tree ID. Discussion of leaf types and characteristics will be explained and how they can be used to help with ID. How to ID trees without foliage by using bud and twig attributes will be explained.

Instructor: Jeremy Hertz, Family Tree Doctor
Jeremy has been an ISA certified arborist since 1995 and started Family Tree Doctor in 1997. Jeremy has been a classroom teacher and presenter throughout his career. He has been married for 26 years and has two boys, 10 and 12 years old.
Family Tree Doctor is a plant health care company that services commercial and residential landscape healthcare. Pruning constitutes a large part of the total services percentage.
