Tree Pruning: the "Whys" and "Hows"
Pruning is the most common tree care practice. Attendees will learn to establish and understand pruning objectives before venturing out into the field. We will discuss how trees respond to various pruning methods including effects of severe pruning Tree biology will be discussed in terms of proper cut placement Different pruning techniques will be presented Tools of the trade will be discussed as well.


Instructor: Jeremy Hertz, Family Tree Doctor

Jeremy has been an ISA certified arborist since 1995 and started Family Tree Doctor in 1997. Jeremy has been a classroom teacher and presenter throughout his career. He has been married for 26 years and has two boys, 10 and 12 years old.

 

Family Tree Doctor is a plant health care company that services commercial and residential landscape healthcare. Pruning constitutes a large part of the total services percentage.
