Community forestry looks different across Michigan, and local perspective matters. Join ISA Michigan for this Municipal Month webinar featuring James Tregear, a certified arborist and urban forestry professional based in Negaunee, Michigan.
James works with the City of Marquette Forestry Department and is the owner of Teufel Hunden Tree Care, LLC. He holds multiple credentials through the International Society of Arboriculture, including Arborist, Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), and Urban Forest Professional, and is also recognized as a Michigan Oak Wilt Specialist and a licensed MDARD Commercial Pesticide Applicator.
In this session, James will share an Upper Peninsula perspective on working with communities to build healthy, safe, and sustainable landscapes. Attendees will gain insight into the connections between urban forestry, tree care, community needs, and long-term stewardship, along with practical lessons drawn from on-the-ground experience in northern Michigan.
This webinar is ideal for municipal staff, tree board members, arborists, and others involved in planning, managing, and caring for public trees.
