About the presenter: Geoffrey Kempter is a certified arborist and urban forestry specialist with over 30 years of experience in municipal tree management. He holds a B.S. in Urban Forestry from Michigan State University and has led risk assessment programs for multiple Michigan cities. Geoffrey is passionate about blending science-based protocols with community engagement to protect public safety and enhance urban canopies. He regularly speaks at industry conferences and contributes to best-practice guidelines.
He has co-authored the Utility Arborist Study Guide for ISA, and is author of the ISA Utility Pruning BMP, and many more articles and papers. Geoff is an ISA TRAQ instructor, and a 1981 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources.
