Tree Defect Walk
Trees in the urban environment live a much tougher life than those living in the forest. Let’s take a walk through a public park and look at some defects that these urban trees are dealing with and what can be done to mitigate the risks associated with them. This walk with cover defects brought on by the environment, humans and other pests.
Instructor: Jake Carufel, Canopy Climbers Tree Service
Jake Carufel has been a Certified Arborist since 2012 as well as a CTSP since 2010. His passion for trees started with tree climbing which progressed into becoming the Michigan Tree Climbing Champion in 2016. He runs a small tree preservation company based out of Lexington, Michigan that loves working with big old trees!
