Thursday’s Keynote 
 Ron McElhaney, Occupation Athletics, Inc, Charlotte, MI                  

            9:00 a.m. Keynote Topic:  Occupational Athletics – The importance of stretching to avoid injury and improve the quality of everyday life. The role of the Athletic Trainer in the work place.                 

Tree care employees are athletes too.  Employers and employees will learn the concept of occupational athletes to see a reduction in injury frequency and a boost in moral as a side benefit.  Occupational Athletics is a day-by-day yearlong health and safety program that is easy to implement.

            Ron is an Athletic Trainer has worked for Michigan State University, Kalamazoo Kings Professional Baseball and Occupational Athletics.

     Joe will be sharing a process for qualifying prospects before making proposals, graceful tactics for gaining more referrals and prompting prospects to make faster decisions with no pressure.

          Joe has headed up Sandler Training - Ann Arbor for 9 years.  He has 30 years experience organizing, training, coaching and managing sales professionals and sales managers. In executive sales and training positions in the manufacturing world,

            Joe was responsible for the technical and sales fundamentals training of over 1,000 sales people worldwide in support of a $110 million business. An Ann Arbor native, Joe's mission is to help small businesses get as effective in selling and sales management, as they are in the rest of their business.

PHC Diagnostics (Classroom & Field Tour)

            Plant Health Care involves accurate diagnosis and implementation of proper management tools. Two  morning sessions will involve hands-on diagnosis of samples accompanied by lecture. Two afternoon sessions will involve a field tour of the Oakland University grounds to enhance our field diagnostic and management capabilities.
